The TPAN Prism Fundraising Gala is held to celebrate all of the critical, life-saving work of TPAN, advocating for the transgender community in South Dakota, as well as raise funds and awareness for our policy related work in 2024. This year the TPAN Prism Fundraising Gala will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.

Keynote Speaker: Shannon Minter
Shannon Price Minter is a transgender man and one of the most experienced legal advocates in the LGBTQ movement. He has served as the legal director of NCLR, one of the nation’s leading legal advocacy groups for LGBTQ people and their families, for more than twenty years and has litigated LGBTQ rights cases for more than thirty years. Shannon has represented LGBTQ youth and their families in many precedent-setting cases, including most recently several challenges to state laws banning transgender youth from school sports and from access to medical care. He has litigated several Supreme Court cases and received recognition for his legal work from the American Bar Association, the National LGBTQ Task Force, the Department of Justice Pride Group, Cornell Law School, Stanford Law School, Equality California, Equality Utah, and other groups.
